Simon Pole is both a Chartered Structural Engineer and Chartered Building Surveyor and therefore carries out Full Structural Surveys in the true sense of the word.

Such surveys are appropriate where either there are suspected structural issues (eg cracks, movement, sagging roofs etc), old and tired buildings or where a discerning client simply requires THE most comprehensive survey.

NB The Mortgage/ Surveying profession use the term ‘Building Survey’ to describe the surveyors most comprehensive survey and this will include general comments on “structure” but will normally refer any concerns to someone like ourselves.

Our reports appraise the fundamental building fabric and structure in detail and include comments on Building Regulations alterations.

We do not however provide Mortage valuations nor Homebuyers reports and frequently refer prospective clients to other Surveyors when a ‘structural’ emphasis is not required.
